Wellington Cable Car

Wellington's iconic cable car transports passengers from the city centre to Kelburn Lookout.  Patrons can enjoy stunning views of the city from the summit.

The Wellington Cable Car departs every 10 minutes between 7 AM and 10 PM weekdays.  The hours of operation are slightly shorter on weekends.

The Cable Car Museum is located near Kelburn Lookout.  It is open from 9:30 until 5 PM daily.

 

 

The Wellington Botanic Garden and Space Place are also located at the top of the hill.
